“For this is what the Sovereign LORD says:
I myself will search and find my sheep.
I will be like a shepherd looking for his scattered flock.
I will find my sheep and rescue them from all the places
where they were scattered on that dark and cloudy day."

牧者がその羊の散り去った時、
その羊の群れを捜し出すように、
わたしはわが羊を捜し出し、

“I am the good shepherd; I know my own sheep, and they know me,

and there will be one flock with one shepherd.


わたしはよい羊飼であって、わたしの羊を知り、わたしの羊はまた、
わたしを知っている。それはちょうど、父がわたしを知っておられ、
わたしが父を知っているのと同じである。そして、
わたしは羊のために命を捨てるのである。
わたしにはまた、この囲いにいない他の羊がある。
わたしは彼らをも導かねばならない。彼らも、
わたしの声に聞き従うであろう。
そして、ついに一つの群れ、ひとりの羊飼となるであろう。
