STEP test

日記

My university student came to take an English lesson this morning.
She's taking the interview test of STEP grede 2 this coming Sunday, so we had last-ditch preparation for the test.

She likes English and is major in English literature, but she's not really good at English conversation.
She couldn't pronounce many words properly, and thus had difficulty in listening.
She didn't know communicative English either.

I'd tried to correct all the words she couldn't read, and showed example sentences and phrasal verbs which should be useful when explaining things and giving her own opinions.
She'd tried to memorise them, and used them in the next lesson.

I was very pleased to see her explaining things and giving her opinions very well this morning!
Hope she'll pass the test with flying colors! :D

    Thanks Eri and milk!
    She sent me an email saying that she wasn't confident about the test at all.... ^^;
She is a type of student who doesn't have her own opinions about many topics.
    Hope she said SOMETHING on each question. ^^;

BTW, Key, you wrote me at 23:23 and I wrote to arie at 12:12.
There are lots of double numbers around me.
When I look at a clock, almost always I see double numbers.
The emails in my mailbox have also many bouble numbers..... lol

    You said it, K!
I believe it's not good to be controlled by our mind, but just follow our feelings leads us to a happy result. :D
(hope what I said doesn't deviate from what you said! lol)

translation is my bad habit, they said to me.
i just only say 1 word to them, they said "got it!"
    At that time, so happy.
    ”頭で考えてても何も得ない” suddenly sorry in Japanese.

    Hi arie!
OMG! You played table tennis all day yesterday again! @@
You have so many matches to take part in; you seem to have always table tennis season.
Do you also have some matches this weekend?

When I played tennis, two-hour-practice was just enough for me. I didn't feel like playing more than that.
I'm really awed by your enthusiam and stamina for playing your favorite sport!

    Hi, Kobain!
Oh, you know her feelings. She would be happy to hear that. :D
It's interesting to know that your "unconscious" tells you what words you should utter.
That might come from deep inside of yourself. From "潜在意識".
I'm really interested in this stuff and I'm happy to know you use this unconsciousness in everyday life! :D

    Hi, Carrie!

Thanks for sharing your efforts and warmhearted consideration to make it possible for your university student to pass the upcoming STEP test.
I really do hope she'll pass the test, but at the same time I think it is the most important for her to keep constant efforts and improve her English communicative competence.

Incidentally, let me tell you my personal daily schedule for today.
I practiced table tennis in the morning, took part in a table tennis match in the afternoon, and joined the evening practice session in the next city.
It was really a long day, but I enjoyed the tight schedule to my heart's content.

Hi Carrie! I also like her. I know her feeling so much.
in my case, I couldn't conversation in English, because "unconscious" makes the sentence my head.
At that time, my around american English people fed up against me. I think. lol Never mind.
Anyway, just 1 word. I'm surely she will pass it if she can say 1 word, she will.
