They spread the rumor that the blue heavens were dead and
the yellow ones were to be established. They said that a new
cycle was beginning which would bring universal good fortune,
and told people to chalk on their gates the two characters of
Jia Zi, meaning the first year of a cycle.
訳
彼ら、将軍は噂を広めて、「蒼天滅して、黄天、相成りぬ
べし。」曰く、新暦が天下に遍く大吉をもたらす云々と。
また民に告げて曰く、甲子の二字を各々門戸に白墨書き
すべし。これ、暦の初年の意味なるべしと。
